Change Agent from lawyer to my spouse

Hello i like to know can i change agent from lawyer to my spouse , before DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill has been generated . i receive my nvc case number yesterday. can i send email to nvc , or my foreign spouse have to do this.

Since you haven't chosen an agent yet, you can use form DS-3032 (or e-mail if you wish) to assign your spouse as your choice of agent. You have to wait for this form to be generated, the NVC will let you know when it has. If you mail it before that, they won't accept it.

if u use lawyer at first place for ur i-130 application, ds3032 will not be generated, automatically ur lawyer is ur agent, so IV BILL will be generated and send to ur lawyer, u better call and speask to live person then explain ur situation

You should inform the NVC in writing/via e-mail

Here is an email I used to remove my lawyer. I emailed this and got a responce back from the NVC

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Mxxxxx Gxxxxx Jibowu, my visa case number

is #NVC LGSxxxxxxxxxx

I would like to change my agenet of choice from

Michael Solomon Attorney to my Wife Mxxxxx Axxxxx on my DS-3032. her date of Birth is 00/00/1968

My wife should recieve all further correspondence from the NVC.

Her address is:

Mxxxxx Violet xxxxxxx

171 Pleasant St

Cut, ME 04072

All mail from the U.S. Department of State concerning

my immigration visa

Since your lawyer is currently the agent, you do not need to wait for NVC to send DS 3032 Choice of Agent out before you request the agent to be switched.

Your foreign spouse technically has to email NVC to request it. Save a draft version in there so your spouse can just log in the email account and click "send" (or you can just do it all yourself on your spouse's email account). Make sure you receive an automatic reply back. Expect to wait about a week before the choice of agent is accepted. Good luck!
