I have a completely different set of circumstances. My fiance met me while I was in the middle of losing a significant amount of weight (the final count will be about 130 pounds when I'm done). He met and fell in love with me when I was 30 pounds heavier than I am now. He only wants me to be happy, whatever my weight is, and I am losing weight for ME.

It should be "WHY DO AMERICAN WOMEN GAIN WEIGHT AFTER MARRIAGE?"

They are the world's worst to gain weight after they marry. Why do you think so many men on here went overseas to find foreign brides! :whistle:

How about taking a non-antagonistic, moreover; a non-offensive position for a change?

I am cerious to know the stats of zqt3344, do you mind sharing???

I read somewhere that for every hour that the man watches football while ignoring his wife, she puts on a pound. The less comfort the woman gets from her husband, the more she can turn to food.

But that's just one opinion. :)

I gained weight after marriage because of the "wonder drug" Lyrica. God bless my husband for not caring. He is sweet.

I gained weight after marriage due to a medical condition ... that was aggravated by the treatment for a *different* medical condition ... that I had been lazy about treating ... and my husband encouraged me to stick with the treatment for the first condition ... not knowing I had the second condition ... so in other words, it's actually his fault I gained weight! :lol:

Since being on treatment for the *second* medical condition, I've lost 60 lbs.
