Uggs and flip flop with socks are definitely tacky.

and I wasn't sure what xmas sweaters were, so I checked on google and then the look on my face was a mix between those two: :o:blink: so yeah, tacky too!

Definitely no to flip-flops with socks!

Some of those do have a use, such as neckerchiefs, leg warmers (although they're ugly) and jelly shoes (fantastic when on the beach/in a river; won't slip off your feet too easily and can go in water). Uggs started off as having a very practical use and I can see how they're brilliant for the elderly.

Confederate bikini? No way! Same with the xmas sweater, although many wear one at least once for their grandparents' sake which I can completely understand.

Sandals and socks are just not on!!!!!! Never!!!

Unless you are Pepelo Pepelo from BroTown, then you get away with it.

You forgot to add Crocs to your list, Amber. I don't care how comfy crocs are. They should be banned from planet earth.

I wear socks with Crocs. Does that make your brain explode? I also wear socks with sandals. (But not flip-flops, because flip-flops are the ultimate in tacky).

I have sweaty feet. Crocs have my feet swimming in a pool of sweat in about 3 minutes. Socks stop that. Same with sandals. I love sandals, but they make my feet sweat. Again, socks stop that.

In the end, however, I don't give a rat's ####### what anyone thinks. If they're that concerned over what someone else is wearing or doing, then they aren't really the sort of person I'd want to know anyway, are they?

BTW, Mags wears Crocs, too. :P

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Sorry Platy, didn't mean to offend you in any kind of way. Also, I would not judge a person by what they wear. All I said is that I don't like them. That's all :)

Oh, I just used your post to launch a general rant. It wasn't actually directed at you.

Although..... I love my Crocs, dammit!

I have to agree on the socks with sandals thing...

I also have a pet peeve about women wearing pantyhose/nylons with open-toed sandals/shoes. It's just wrong.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
