A couple of questions

Hi all. :) I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Soon my boyfriend and I hope to get our I-129 package thingy sent off as he'll be here for two weeks and we can work on it together. My first question is:

When it asks where the alien fiance is going to be living in the U.S. will it hurt if the address we use ends up NOT being where he lives when he arrives? The situation as it stands is that I'm living with my parents but hope that by the time Richard is here, I'll have my own apartment. If for some reason that falls through, we would be living with my grandmother until we got a place of our own. I would like to use my grandmother's address for this part of the application because my mother is very nervous about this stuff and probably wouldn't like the idea of me using this address. Not to mention, it wouldn't be accurate as we definitley won't be living here when he arrives.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. :/ Do you think it will be ok to use my grandmother's address even though I don't live there now? Will it hurt anything if we end up living elsewhere? And lastly, will using her address mean that things will be mailed there or is it just something to show that we have a plan on where he'll live? I wouldn't want my grandmother to have to go through any trouble because of this. (Partly because it's nice of her to offer a place to stay and partly because she has a tendency to get very confused. )

My next question is probably very stupid but here goes: On the forms, if there is a question that doesn't apply (for example, where it asks for the foreign fiance's U.S. social security number) is it best to leave that field blank or to type N/A? Does it even matter either way?

Thanks for your patience. I know you guys probably hear the same old questions over and over so it must get tedious and even annoying. I'm trying to figure as much of this out on my own as possible (well, with the use of all the resources provided here) but sometimes the information doesn't stick. It's so overwhelming and I'm scared of doing even the tiniest things wrong.

1. One can always do a change of address later.

2. Questions should not be left unanswered. N/A or None should be put for the questions that are either not applicable or the answer is none.

Hi :D

Yes, you should put N/A or None and not just leave it blank.

You will get mail sent to the address on the form - A letter saying they received the I-129F, a letter saying it has been approved/denied and a letter stating it has been sent to the Visa Centre (if approved).

You can change the address if necessary. We won't be living at the address we put on the form, it is where my fiance lives now though.

Good luck with the process!
