Hi,

Sorry for another I-864 thread. I have gone threw the DCF forum and read almost all of the threads, but everyone's situation is different so I'm trying to clear my situation before I prepare the documents and send them to my wife.

Married Dec 4th 07, Filed I-130 on Feb 19th, 08, picked up DOA letter from Mumbai consulate on April 8th 08.

I was confused about I-134 for bit but now I know I don't need to prepare it.

I file I-864. Since I had lost my job on return to USA and my income being low my parents will be the cosponsors (who file their tax jointly), and my uncle (doctor, who has 3 dependents) just as a backup.

So, should I use just 1 parent or both and the uncle?? I know uncles sponsor will be enough.

I was thinking I file I-864, dad file I-864A, uncle file I-864 and A or just I-864??

Also I have enough balance in my bank account so should I send my bank statements to my wife?? and during my visit in November I requested my bank to provide me with letter stating my account #, balance, open date and such. Well, now I have more balance from the interest and my last pay check so should I have my bank prepare another letter and discard the previous letter?? or just go with the previous letter? Also I have been calling her using prepaid accounts, which allows me to print my call list, should I also send her this for proof of communication?

I know I sound a little paranoid but after my wife heard about her friend and some other folks case being rejected, she is freaking out.

Thanks for the help guys.

If your parents meet the poverty guidelines 125% for themselves and their dependants you unly can file an I864 from you and another I864 from your parents. If you live at the same address so they do, you must file the I864A form contract between petitioner and co-sponsor. So you and your father/mother must sign the I864A.

In our case. our co-sponsor file jointly with her wife but she doesn't work, so only the husband signed the I864.

If the income of your parents isn't enough, you can use another joint sponsor (your uncle) and he must file another I864. The I864A is only if one of the joint sponsors live together with the petitioner. If the income form your uncle is enough you don't need your parent's income.

Make sure that you file the I864 from you aside you'll have a co-sponsor. Also, attach employment letter of everyone and the last 3 years of income tax.

Good luck

I think I am going crazy.

here' the thing, my parents file jointly so do they each fill out I-864A or just 1?? if 1 I guess that means I include their combined income. If they each need to file I-864A then do I take the annual income from W-2??

OR

do you guys think my uncles income could be enough so that I can skip my parents altogether??

uncle is a doc so he makes about 2 to 300K a year with 3 dependents.

help please

Here is my dilemma regarding the Assets/Sponsor/Financial on so on……..

My alone in 2006 was 125% above the poverty line (if I count myself as family on 1, obviously)

In 2007 I worked only for 6 months, and moved to India in June… Hence my income was almost their but not their…

Currently my income in India is WAY WAY WAY BELOW poverty line of America.

With that in mind, I have asked my Dad to sponsor us.

We lived in the same house, and plans as of now are to live together until we find a place to live - - Having saying that he was filled 1864A

My worries is that, when asked in Individual Income from my father, have listed combine income of my Mom & Dad as they file their taxes jointly - - is that okay?

Same question as Youguess - - - I have two siblings and in the household my dad has added himself, my mother, myself and my spouse - - your thoughts???

My spouse has no property on his name, just a vehicle ;-)

He is currently a business proprietor for his family firm , should mention the profit he earns???
