Hey guys,

just wanna know what they do when they receives your application. and do they take any additional step to verify your marriage.

We just passed our 12 month mark, and our claim was transferred from Nebraska (AKA 9th Circle of Hell) to another service center. Were hoping for California. Regardless, we know it can take as long as 18 months, so were gonna file an N-400 next month so as to put the next 6 months to good use.

May 27, 2009: N-400 Window Opens

June 2, 2008: N-400 Sent

June 3, 2008: N-400 Received at Nebraska Service Center

June 13, 2008: NOA1

June 16, 2008: Biometrics letter

June 24th, 2008: Biometrics Appointment

July 7th, 2008: Called FBI, verified that biometrics check has been completed and returned to USCIS

August 26th, 2008: N-400 Interview Passed

September 18th, 2008: Swearing in, Billings Montana

Are u serious , longer than a year, to the best of my knowledge they extend your green card for a year while your application is in process, what they do if the process takes longer than a year.. ?

and please let me know if you have any thoughts , what additional steps they take to verify your ongoing relationship...

Thanks and appreciated

You go to your local office and get your passport stamped to extend it for another year.

We are going on well over a year ourselves.

Unless you moved, your profile indicates you are filing with CSC. CSC is currently the fastest service center for processing I751s. I've recently seen people getting approved in as little as 2-3 months. Good luck!

If you applied in California , great for you , as they are moving very fast compared to the rest. I was at California as well , and it took just under 4 months from the day they received my app.

Good Luck !
