Sorry you have to go through this Clairern, but do know that God's timing is perfect, you may never know the reason but His timing is perfect. Pretty much.....yes.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Wow...truly sorry to hear that....you waited all this time and they sent him back just because he did not have the second copy...but they should already have the first copy...I will never understand the rationale of this whole entire process...it makes me sick..... :( ....don't stress over it too much though....the day will finally come for the both of you...

AUGH!!! Hearing stuff like this makes me so mad. I cannot believe these people sometimes. Its such laziness. They have the ORIGINAL copy in their file so his 2nd copy shouldnt be as important....especially to withhold the interview. I'm so sorry to hear this Claire. You guys have been going thru this process for so long. Did you at least get an early June date?

Thanks for this info though. I will make sure my husbsnd gets his PC back as he sent me the 2nd copy too.

You know waht really upsets me is that the PC was not even official looking. They both had his picture and the police seal on them. The only thing that was different is that they put a carbon between the two copies when it was typed up. Who uses carbon in this day and age. I mistakenly sent the carbon copy and they wanted that one. He actually had the interview and has to go back in June to turn the "original" PC in.

So you guys who are at the NVC stage, make sure you send in the top copy that is considered "original"

Just an update--he actually had the interview and everything went well. He is scheduled to return on June 26 with the original PC.

this is eactly what i am thinkinG!!! they are SUPPOSE to have the original sent to them by the NVC already!!

UHH!! makes me mad.....but keep your head up sweetie...your second interview will go perfect dont loose the faith!

Karla, I actually submitted the copy in error and they claim Dept of Homeland security would not allow him into the country via POE with just the copy, so they need it on file to put into that big brown envelope.

I actual had a bad day and when I spoke with him this evening after we both took a nap he expalined in more detail about what happened and he told me he had the interview and he is approved pending his submitting the original PC. I am going to JA in two weeks and will bring it with me, so he willhave it when he returns.

Jason, Mike said the same thing to me today after I was so very distraught about the whole thing. He said God knows best and every dissapointment is for a good. I wish I had his inner calm and peace and his patience. He has been waiting 8 years to get to this point and I felt really bad that this had happened.

Unlike Marla's interview, he had a very nice CO who was very kind and even encouraged him to go ahead andfill out DS-230 for his daughter who he had following to join. She turns 21 in October and they encourage him and had him fill out the papers right then and there.

Thanks for the reassurance though. When is Marla coming? Has she even received the visa yet?

Marlita, he actually had the interview but he has to go back with the original PC. I thought I had sent in the original but when I checked my files today I have it, so I will bring it with me when I go down in two weeks.

Even if you send in the original, make sure he has the second copy because when Tonya went with Drew they asked him for the second copy. They have a different set of rules for everybody.

Goodluck

That is such good news. I just don't think you should get your hopes up for her getting it this week though. I think you should plan on her getting next week and booking her fare then.
