I was wondering, since I have to show up for the medical at 6-6:30 am, can my mother or a friend accompany me to the examination? I hate sounding like a wuss, but I don't like the idea of going to vancouver early in the morning alone. Sorry if this has been asked before, I really appreciate all the advice and help that this forum has provided.

yes but I don't think they can come inside the exam room. You can call the medical center where the appt is at and ask them. Hope that helps

Yes, you can bring someone with you. They've got to be someone who really cares to wake up so early and spend the whole morning waiting around with you!

The blood test, x-ray, medical itself is 30 minutes in total. The rest of the time is waiting. You will be waiting for around 3 hours. Bring some magazines, crosswords.

There's a Tim Horton's at the gas station at the kiddy corner. You can see where you are in the doctor queue and go over to pick up some brekky.

HTH,
