OT is full of idiocy. Some of it's political, some of it's sexual and some of it just silly games for the post whores.

Why single out one form of idiocy and banish it while leaving the others alone?

We can all play idiot word games, but not everyone can talk politics. Why? Because not everyone reads. Perhaps everyone should. Then we could all play :luv:

ps. I voted no.

In the chat last night, you said yes?

He said no in chat as well..

Guess we need the chat transcript here....Anyone?

I don't have the transcript, but I recall saying I didn't like the idea. Alex's post sums up my feelings on it well. Politics is life.

Mags, I know I call myself VJ Troll but I always thought of it as a non-serious dig at myself. I'm frankly offended that you see me a real troll.

Troll, can I ask you why it's so personal to you why the political threads should not get moved into their own arena? I mean... #1 you'll know excatly where to find all the political stuff and .... #2 those of us who are interested will know exactly where to find all the political stuff. I can't see where the problem lies.

Mags was being sarcastic. Relax on that.

oh, chat records exist, yes. ;) Esp the name-calling.

Setting that issue aside, the quote by Obama in your siggy is nothing short of ridiculous. He is confident that he understands the world more and is more knowledgeable in foreign policy? Yeah right.....

Based on what? His youthful travels?

McCain is the most viable and qualified candidate, party lines aside. Personally, I would have selected Condoleezza Rice, had she run in the race. She is a real contender.

There must be wet fingers and a slight wind coming from all directions, hence the indecicion. Popularity always rules here. Post whores? The hearts will lead you to them

Yep.

Banish is a little strong, no? More like, move it. Will it be difficult to locate?

Indeed its not banishing. Perhaps some people are afraid that they (and their content) won't get as much attention as usual

EDIT: Mags and Platypius made really good points in the thread in the Site Related Discussion forum which I also agree with.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

So that's it, just sweep that one under the carpet and go on to illumine's siggy. Sweet.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Thanks all for making my point as even this thread morphed into a political discussion..........

The word is 'separate'. Surprised I'm the first to point it out.

I vote no, as I don't like getting used to small changes in my routine. Strange, really, that I chose to up-sticks and move here at all, really. Oh well. There you go.
