Ok I know to bring his passport with his K-1 and his I-94 but it says another form of identification. I called and of course they were kind of not aware of the K-1 and ability to get a card no matter how many times I told her YES YES it is ok.

Anyway she told me the passport should be sufficient with the I-94 but I want to double check this. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Dawn

Thats what we had when we applied for SSN.

Also print out this page from SSA website and bring it with you, it shows in the table under part C that K-1 can get SSN.

Yeah I grabbed that and just to be safe. Thanks as always! You are a huge help. I don't want to get to the office and get caught without everything.

That EM is SO old. The woman that wrote it retired two years ago. RM 00203.500 C1 is current procedure and it's based on EM-00154.

FYI EM stands for emergency message, which just gives field offices something to follow until POMS can be updated, which in this case it has long ago.

I seem to recall having posted what's need once or twice. Search is your friend. LOL
