Well for the guy who complained yesterday for me calling him 'sadistic', simply provides the point.

This is all irrelevant anyway. The jury decided death was not an appropriate sentence - its not like the guy is going off scot-free. Life will almost certainly mean mean life, in his case.

FWIW, I don't see gloating about him becoming a ####### is even on the same scale as what he did (or more like, didn't do), hence sending 3000 + to their deaths. So I will continue to gloat and laugh at his dimwitted a$$.

Its the general level of vicious sentiments that capital cases seem to bring out in people over here that I object to. Guy has had his day in court, been found guilty - why should anyone care what happens to him after that?

Might just as well go back to the middle-ages when people spat on and threw vegetables at people on their way to court.

By extension, its this sort of level of feeling that makes people think that satiating their own desires for revenge justifies repealing human rights legislation. There's progressive thinking for you.

I guess we (I) care because of the nature of the case. He could have stopped one of the worse days in our history - a day that has changed so much of how the world works now. So yeah, I DO care what happens to him after his day in court. I hope he rots in his concrete cell. Sorry, but I do. If that makes my mentality from the Middle Ages, then so be it.

As for human rights legislation, I don't see how this case has anything to do with that at all (or quite possibly I'm missing your point - no caffeine today, LOL). Moussaoui certainly has no regard for humanity, and the last time I checked, life in prison did not equate human rights violations. I'm actually proud of the fact that we did not seek an eye for an eye for some lameo terrorist wanna be. I think the punishment more than fits the crime.

He'll get his three squares a day, and air to breathe. Even visits from his family. That's more than the 9/11 victims and their families get.
