Maiden name on Marriage license

On all the AOS ppwk, I have put my husband's last name as my own. The problem, my old name is mentioned on our marriage license. So basically, The military dependants ID that i have is in my married name, Marriage license in my old name, bank accts in my married name and applying for AOS in my married name - Will this be a problem??

I read in a thread that some states issue marriage licenses with your new name.. I even called the County clerks office and they told me that since we were not married when the license was issued, it can't be done with the new (married) name, well!! not in Texas atleast. Thats logical to me..

Now I am worried about the name discrepancy on the AOS ppwk??

Has anyone else had the same situation?? Was that a problem with USCIS??

that wont be a problem at all! i was in the same situation, even though my marriage license had my maiden name on there it was problem to get my dl in my married name or my ssn card in my married name. when i applied for aos i just used my married name on all the forms and they issued my green card in my married name!

so dont worry, the disrepancy wont matter at all!

How about your marriage certificate? Marriage license is just permission to marry, you need to send a copy of marriage certificate NOT License with your I-485.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

We got the same paper back after the judge signed it and it was sent to the marriage records deparment to be recorded with them. It says that we were united in marriage on march 20th 2008..

You mean, we should be getting another one????:blink::blink:

Yeah, don't worry. I got married in Dallas and it's the same "trouble" if they have done that we aren't the first people getting married and doing an imigration proccess. I think that all would be fine. Good day.
