Mexican Passport for Consulate Interview

We're a little confused because we're getting mixed information from various sources but I'll ask the question here: I know that for the K1 interview you need a valid Mexican Passport with at least 6 months of existing validity to the passport. However, does my fiance also need to get a Mexican Visa? That is what they are trying to tell her over at the agency where she inquired about the passport. I'm saying she doesn't but I cannot be for certain. Can others going through Juarez, Mexico chime in regarding this? She is afraid that if they ask for it when the time comes, we wont have it and we'll be denied. I know it's still way early in the process for us but we're planning ahead so everything doesnt get dropped on us at the last minute.

Thank you my friends.

Hi David

I can't imagine what kind of Mexican visa they are telling her she needs but she does not need it. It makes no sense if you think about it since the process she is going through is with the US government - not Mexico. Therefore, there is no need for any kind of Mexican visa. In terms of her passport, she should simply go to her local delegacion office which is where they issue passports in Mexico.

Hope this helps.
