Thank you guys :D i'm still soooo excited!! lol...

can i have my husband send me a tax return paper he sent last month? or do they need an earlier and more updated one?

He will need to send an affidavit of support - Either form I-134 (k-visas) or I-864(spousal visas) depending on which visa you are doing. (someone correct me if I'm wrong on that) There are instructions with the form, and they will ask for previous year's tax return, and sometimes the previous 3 years. He should be sending all of that together for you, along with any new evidence of continuing relationship.

You should also be getting a "packet 3" in a few weeks from the Cairo embassy with instructions on the next step. All of the information is available here on VJ, somewhere in MENA, if you want to have a look at what you will have to do next (I'm at work, so I can't really look it up right now) If you don't get it in the next month, email Cairo... sometimes they "forget"
