06.19.2010 - papers arrived at Chicago lockbox

06.24.2010 - Check cashed

06.28.2010 - NOA1 Hardcopy received (9 days from the day they got our papers)

07.05.2010 - Received Biometrics Schedule (July 26)

08.05.2010 - Biometrics done! (had to re-schedule from 7/26 to 8/5)

08.13.2010 - Got my interview letter

08.20.2010 - EAD card on production

09.06.2010 - Got my EAD Card (62 days)

09.07.2010 - Applied for SSN

09.14.2010 - SSN Card received

09.16.2010 - Interview schedule (APPROVED)

09.20.2010 - Welcome Notice Received ("Welcome to the USA")

09.25.2010 - 10 yr Green Card received! (98 days)

I was born and raised in New York.

Hubby was born and raised in Amazonas.

We live in Florida, which is ironically about the mid-point from where we were born/raised.

What? Leave New Hampshire? No income tax, no sales tax... the lakes, the mountains, the ocean, the folliage... why on earth would I ever want to leave here?? Live Free or Die (our state motto)!

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

01/10/2008: Bio Appointment @ Jackson, MS
03/18/2008: Green Card Production Ordered
03/22/2008: Approval Notice Sent (CRIS email on 03/24/08)
03/24/2008: Received Welcome Letter and Green Card in mail.

11/13/2009: Our daughter, Isobela was born!
11/19/2009: Received notice from USCIS to remove conditions
12/15/2009: Sent I-751 to VSC
12/22/2009: NOA1
01/20/2010: Bio Appointment @ Jackson, MS
03/18/2010: Card Production Ordered!
03/25/2010: Received Green card in mail.

03/21/2012: Sent N-400 to Tx lockbox

I think it is interesting how many people have listed California as they place they want to live. If it is So Cal you want, make sure to bring lots of money!! Lots and lots! and the patience to sit for hours on overcrowded freeways....

Married 12-30-05

Started our visa journey Jan 06.

01-06 - I-130, K3 shortly after

04-06 - switched to Canada Immigration

07-06 - Moved to Canada (PR almost complete)

07-06 - Changed again, back to US imm.

09-06 - Landed as Canadian PR

10-06 - DCF Toronto, Approved in 1.5 hrs!

11-06 - Interview Montreal (success!)

I-130

10-05-06 DCF in Toronto - Approved

10-19-06 Packet 3 received & sent back

10-20-06 Montreal receives P3

11-03-06 Packet 4 received

11-06-06 Medical

11-22-06 Interview / Visa approved

11-26-06 heading home, 6 day drive, my oh my

HOME SWEET HOME

10.24.08 - Mailed I-751 to CSC

Delivered at 9:03 AM on October 25, 2008

10.29.08 NOA1

10.30.08 Check cashed

12.06.08 Biometrics Appt.

Born: India (too young to remember)

Raised: Arkansas (no complaints)

Currently: Oregon (nearby coast, mountains everywhere, near Portland, LOVELY... except horrible job market)

I'd rather just move around a lot, I want to explore the whole country! Maybe settle down somewhere when I've seen almost everything :dance: After I become a citizen, I want to explore the world. First stop: UK :dance:
