Born: Nuremburg, Germany

Live: as of May 19th, back to the Motor City - Detroit, Michigan

Want to live: hmmmm... looking at options - temperate climate, close to water and mountains, not too expensive (bye-bye Cali. and NY!), city life with a smaller city feel, multi-cultural.. any ideas anyone?

Check out Charleston, SC

As for me:

Born: Philippines

Live: NC

Want to live: I like where we are right now. I have not yet finished visiting all the other 49 states ... maybe only seen 20% so far. From what I've seen I really liked CO and SC (Charleston).

Born: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Live: Ashburn, Virginia

I really want to move to a place where people have a nice attitude. So it's a toss up between NYC and LA..

Move: Somewhere in the South. But probably back home to Australia. Maybe the Gold Coast there..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

We're not going anywhere. Weather is one big factor why we'd stick around to where we are now.

I humbly disagree. When the forsythia and crocus and daffodils bloom, it's wonderful :) But I admit, I always tell people to visit NS in September, when the weather is wonderful and the crowds are less.

Respectfully submitted,

a Bluenoser born and bred. :)

(PS. If anyone wants to know where to go for info on NS, I can send you in the right direction, I used to work in the tourism industry :) )

I was born in Nova Scotia, Canada

We currently live in Oklahoma

We are looking to move to Maine.

When I use to do travel nursing, I loved Maine. There's so much to do and it's also closer to home in Nova Scotia. I lived in Presque Isle but that was too far north for me. I than lived in Lewiston Maine and loved it. I was close to Portland and everything was central to me. I'd move back to Maine if it wasn't for the winters. But if you like to ski, the skiing is great.

I enjoy Maine as well. It has the "feel" I want, combined with the added bonus of the ocean, which I miss terribly. If we end up staying in the US (instead of moving to Canada), our plan is to probably move to Maine, to be closer to family and make it easier for them to visit us (driving is much cheaper than flying!).

My husband expressed concern about Maine winters. I assured him that unlike Tulsa, Maine believes in winter clothing, snowplows, salting the roads properly and snow tires. :P
