GRRRRRRR!!

you've got to be kidding me.

now i know where i read that you had to bring the sealed envelope to the interview - the fricken instuctions on the I-693!!!

well, the OLD form that is.

apparently a new form was issued on 04/02/08!

the form i used was from 2005, i think.

and now all the instructions have changed on the new form and it says to send the sealed envelope with your AOS package.

now what?

am i gonna get denied because of this?

Hi Shanny,

Don´t totally freak out about this, you were supposed to send the original but at least you sent a copy, I don´t think you will get denied because of this, the worse case scenario is that you will get an RFE (request for evidence) for the original of this document and then you will have to send it in. The best case scenario is that they are ok with a copy and your process moves along normally and are requested to go for an interview and then show the original!

I hope it goes for the best!

12/13 - Filed AOS, AP & EAD

12/14/07 - Received in Chicago Lockbox

03/10/08 - Infopass because never received EAD =/ Was told I have to re-file, re-pay fee and re-wait (LMAO)

03/13/08 - Contacted congresswoman over EAD issue

We sent the sealed envelope from the doctor's office and retained the copy. If ever, they will ask you to send the original (sealed) thru RFE so just hang in there.

Removal of Conditions :

August 16, 2010 - Petition received by USCIS Vermont Center

August 20, 2010 - NOA1 received

October 4, 2010 - Biometrics

January 3, 2011 - Permanent 10 yr. Green Card Received.

We didn't have or include an I-693 with the filing. We just took the sealed envelope to the interview.
