We had our interview today and was approved!! That is the best and most important part. My poor wife got so nervous that she couldn't answer anything right or didn't understand the questions because she was so nervous. As soon as we walked into the interviewers office she just melted.

He didn't look at any pics or much of anything else. He focused on her activity using her ATM card and if she had written checks. We had tons of stuff relating to our marriage and relationship but didn't need it. It's still better to bring more than you think you need.

He asked my wife when was the last time you used your card and she first said in February, then she said last week. Thinks were going poorly at that point. He asked her very direct questions but she just fell apart and I never expected that to happen. I was sitting in shock watching this unfold. I couldn't really help her as he said not to and that was difficult not to do. I did repeat the question for him to her a couple of times which seemed to help but it was ugly folks. :crying:

The interviewer says to me, you seem like a nice guy what happened with your last marriage so I gave him the thirty second version. He also went through a divorce so we had something in common. During the interview he says to my wife, I'm leaning towards approving you but you aren't helping matters which makes me lean to not approving you. When I heard that my heart dropped. I'm thinking of everything we went through from meeting her to that very moment in the interview and thinking that everything was going down in smoke right before my eyes and I couldn't do anything to help but to remain calm. He then asked her is she only married me to get her green card. He also asked her if she was bringing her parents to the U.S.

The interviewer also mentioned our age difference to me towards the end of the interview but didn't go into detail. I personally think he was being very detailed about her using our money to make sure there was a relationship!! He was only doing his job but he lightened up at the end of the interview. All three of us were laughing a bit when it was all over.

In the end he said she was approved and gave us two letters. One stating that she was approved and to expect her card in 90-days. The other letter was (notice to conditional permanent resident). This letter was just to remind us of the time frame for lifting of conditions.

Even as I type this I'm a bit nervous and shaken but happy at the same time. I can only hope she does better in the next interview.

Good luck to all!! :star:

I don't think she has to worry about another interview - very few get interviewed for 'Removing Conditions'. But she needs to know how to interview with anyone - for jobs, police matters, anything. And yes she will need to interview if she decides to go for citizenship. Congrats and Good Luck

I'm sure your heart must have been breaking not being to help her out during the interview. How horrible for her! I'm so glad you got some good news after that turmoil! It's amazing how when you're nervous everything gets confusing and you stumble. That happens even with people with excellent English skills!
