How long of a wait before packet 3 is sent to fiance

:innocent: Hi Everybody, I am new to this site and I have made a great new friend who has helped me alot. For anyone who has received packet 3, how long did you have to wait before you received the packet?

My case was sent to the Ghana embassy back in February and still waiting for notification from the embassy for my fiance to pick up packet 3. So, I just want an idea of a time frame anyone had to wait so I can use that to predict or estimate how much longer I have to wait.

TIME LINE

09/2007 - Gathered all documents for I-129F petition.

11/09/2007 - Sent I-129F

11/21/2007 - Package sent back to me( I forgot to sign one of my G-325A forms) I cried my eyes out but sent it next day delivery back to USCIS.

11/27/2007 - Received NOA1

02/13/2008 - Received NOA2

02/20/2008 - Package left NVC

02/22/2008 - Case uploaded into Ghana consulate data system

04/08/2008 - Packet 3 & 4 sent to fiance

04/16/2008 - Packet 3 & 4 received by fiance

06/24/2008 - Interview date (God blessings on this day)

06/24/2008 - DENIED visa at interview

06/25/2008 - APPROVED visa at 2nd interview with senior consulate

06/27/2008 - Picked up VISA

07/03/2008 - Fiance entered USA at JFK POE & Got EAD Stamp in passport

07/18/2008 - Married

08/07/2008 - Mailed AOS application

It varies.

Mine took about a month from NOA2 to getting my package 3 in the mail.

It varies by consulate. I'm sure someone else going through the same consulate will be able to tell you if that is a usual wait. If it's not, you might want to see what the best way to contact your consulate is to check to see that they got it. Click on the "embassy information" section at the top and you should find something for Ghana.

8/26/2008 ~ Sent AOS/AP/EAD to Chicago lockbox

9/18/2008 ~ Biometrics in St Louis

9/22/2008 ~ Transferred to CSC

11/05/2008 ~ AP/EAD approved (71 days)

1/20/2009 ~ AOS approved!!! (147 days)

1/29/2009 ~ 2-year GC arrived (156 days)

Removing Conditions

11/18/2010 ~ Sent I-751 to CSC

11/19/2010 ~ I-751 delivered to CSC

11/19/2010 ~ NOA1

12/10/2010 ~ Received biometrics letter

12/21/2010 ~ Biometrics in St Louis

12/29/2010 ~ Touch

1/04/2011 ~ Case status finally available online

2/16/2011 ~ Approved!! (89 days)

2/22/2011 ~ 10-year GC arrived (95 days)

I haven't tried this but got it from another post here:

US State Department: (202) 663-1225 - press 1, then 0.

They should be able to tell you if the consulate has received the paperwork from the NVC and also if the packet 3 has been mailed.
