Instead of getting a week break Waleed is being deployed to one of two things or maybe both as I am unsure from his text msgs.

First there is the Huge Demonstrations and riots north of Cairo in the big city of Mahalla moving to Suez and the Army may be asked to interfere.

Second they are deploying a Platoon to the Egypt Gaza Borders because Hamas is threatening a repeat of the AlAreesh invasion. I believe Waleed is going on this mission because he mentioned on Monday they may send him on a War Mission.

Hamas threatens to storm Egypt borders again, last Tuesday

So I don't get to talk to him and now I'm worried for his safety! :crying:

Plus there is still no news on what to do about the visas. I'm sending letters to the Congressmen and Senators today.

I thought the demonstrations were done and over? Wasn't that the strike that didn't go too well?

May Allah keep him safe. Inshaallah, he will be fine.

Im so sorry, Olivia. All we can do is keep praying.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I don't watch the news enough, apparently, because it seems the media has really overdone the goings on over in Egypt. One of my husband's customers came in last night asking how my husband's family was doing because he heard of the "riots" and that no one is able to get food in Egypt.

Yeah see my post about that in the thread Riot in Egypt. Thx for the support everyone but I see it's going to get worse before it gets better but hopefully the transition in the political process is a long process and not a fast and quick one that will affect my Husband and I's visas.

Olivia-

Hang in there, I don't have my husband in any danger like you do, but I do know that I miss him and this makes me sad. You are not alone, if you need anything, someone to vent to, I am here.

If I can but keep on believing what I know in my heart to be true,

Then nothing can ever disturb me or fill me with uncertain fear,

For as sure as night brings dawning, my morning is bound to appear..."
