Hello All:

My fiancee is in Ukraine. We are patiently awaiting our K-1 visa and she has been told by, probably, not so good sources in Ukraine that there is also some procedure SHE must go through with the Ukrainian government in order to come to the USA to be married. I am not aware of what this might be. Anyone here that has completed the process and has had a fiancee coem to the USA from Ukraine, if you could please tell me. Did your fiancee have to make changes to her passport? Any other document changes to satisfy the Ukrainian government? If so, what were they? I am familiar with what she will have to do for our government but unaware of anything needed for Ukraine.

Thanks in advance

Bad information... There is nothing that MUST be done in order for her to come to the USA and get married. My wife made no changes to her passport.... There are rumours about an "exit" visa (if you will) that gets put on her "internal" passport but so far we have done nothing.

YMMV
