So here is how it goes, our divorce was finalized earlier this year, and my CGC is going to be expired at 06/30/08.

I filed I-751 separately and sent it out on march 24th. I checked my bank statement and it says that the Texas service center cashed my check already, just 2 days after. It is almost mid April now, and I haven't got any letter in my mailbox about receiving my application...

Sent anything I think that could be useful to approve the "good intention", including tax return, car purchase, bank statements, 1 letter signed jointly from the couple who rent us their duplex apartment and know that we lived together all these years..sent even bunches photos and b day cards/Christmas cards from his family. I don't know what else I can do here. I hope someone here had similar stuff going on and was approved..

I saw that if the CIS can't decide fast enough they'd extend my CGC for another year? Really got no clue about what to do now, am waiting for the darn receipt, should I also use infopass to ask them too?...

I am pretty stressed now, thanks a lot if you spent time reading this.

Seems like Texas is really slow with the NOA. If you search the forum you will find lots of folks in the same boat as you. Good luck!

Welcome to VJ.com!

It's such a shame you've got to go through this alone, but sounds as though you've got your act together there. And Ashish is quite right, there are other VJ'ers here in a similar position.

Things do move slowly here in Texas, so don't worry about not hearing anything yet. For example, the TSC signed for my package on March 10th but I only received a biometrics appointment NOA (Notice of Action) yesterday, almost a month later. Others filed before me and still haven't heard anything. In theory everyone receives some kind of letter confirming a one year extension, but as far as I know hardly anyone who sent their file to TSC since January 2008 has received one yet.

Almost everyone here is friendly and willing to help, whatever your current marital situation (as long as it's legal!) So don't be afraid to ask questions, though it is appreciated if you try searching previous forum threads, guides and FAQs first.

I am sorry that you are having to go through this alone, marriage-wise, however come over to this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=118137 and add in your information. You won't be alone at least going through this process. That is where those of us who have filed in TSC since early February are posting our information. You will see that apart from one NOA for a dependent child, the only ones who have received NOAs and biometrics are those who have been transferred to other service centers.

Good luck and we can all help support each other on this stage of the journey.
