I-864 ?

Hi everyone!

My husband and I are preparing to send out our AOS, and the last thing we really have left to do is the Affadavit of Support. I'm in the process of filling out the I-864, and I'm a little confused. I am still in school and only work part time, so I will be getting some assistance from my dad, whom we live with for the time being. I am looking on the checklist before the application, and I am not sure which is more applicable in our case: whether I am "using the income of persons in your household or dependents to qualify" or if my father is a joint sponsor.

Also, is there anything we will need other than our tax forms from this past year?

You can file the I864 and use your dad as a joint sponsor, and file the I864A and you and yor dad must sign the I864. Also you must file another I864 drom you aside you have another one from your dad.

Attach the respectives income ta years (2007, 2006, 2005) and the employment letter for each one of you. Good luck
