Approved AOS :)

Today was our Initial Interview for AOS. The Las Vegas office is pretty small from the other places I have read about on here. There were about 40 people in the waiting room, maybe even 30 at the most. Our names were called about 30 minutes later. The officer was very young in about his early-late twenties, but very professional and very experienced. We were sworn in, and he had us take a seat. He first asked Paul's name, where he was born, his date of birth, he then asked me the same questions. Then he went on to ask about my previous marriage which was final 2 months before Paul and I got married. He asked about 10 questions regarding that, at which point I started to get nervous and my hands starting shaking a bit. I have no idea why. He asked if I had a lot of phone converstaions with my ex husband, and I do! But because we have kids together. I told him yes. He then asked where Paul and I met, if Paul has ever been to Las Vegas before meeting me, Paul said no. Then he asked me more questions about my family. Asked if I had any family in the area. Seems like he asked me more questions than Paul. He asked for joint accounts. We only had a home phone, our checking account and I printed a statement from our PayPal account, which he made copies of. He asked if we brought in any photos. I said "Yes", he asked to see them. He looked at every, single picture. Asked if the two kids in the pictures were my kids, and I said yes. He said he'll be right back he needed to make copies. He came back and said he's going to approve our case, then he said "If I approve your case today, I will go over everything that you need to know." He then asked "At the house you're living at, do both of you have a house key?" We both said yes, and he asked if they were here with us. We said yes. He asked to see them. He compared both of them together, and said "great!"

Then he said Paul was approved! It took about 25-30 minutes . Is that long? I've read lots of others who only got interviewed for 10-15 minutes. Is that normal? He stamped Paul's passport and said he'd get his card in a few weeks. He also took his EAD and said he didn't need it, and also told Paul to go to the Social Security office to update his SSC.

Now I can rest! I was sooo nervous since the day we filed. It's over now! YAY!!

well my interview lasted maybe 15 min TOPS and the young girl asked "generic" questions but did NO digging seh was kind and sweet and it was over in NO time flat.

My interv. will be in June :help: so I was reading ur experience but I cant believe about the quest of the keys... what kind of questions they ask...?
