if my husband ever gets to the US, i am just gonna grab him and whisk him back to my apartment and hug him and never, ever let him go. and that is how we will go through life, forever.

do you think people will look at us funny if we try to walk down the street like that?

Well it certainly wasn't "just another day"... oh hellz no lol. But by the time my husband arrived, he had been traveling for 3 grueling days with very little sleep -- including 15 hours in the air. All he wanted was a cigarette, a hot shower, some decent food and a place to stretch out. His POE was Chicago, and I knew hopping on another 3-hour flight to Texas would be the LAST thing he would want to do. So I had already booked us a suite in a hotel very close to the airport and flew up to meet him, and we had a nice little celebration in comfort there -- room service rocks !

He got a good night's rest and then we flew back to San Antonio the next day. We had the official welcome party with the family later... but the first few days, I kept him all to myself

My sister is throwing a HUGE barbeque in our honor in about a month or so when the weather warms up. Her parties rock!!! She has a HUGE front yard, is an amazing cook and tons of beautiful flowers that she grows. I can't wait!

For now though, I'll pop a few midol before I leave for the airport, bring him home, feed him and then put him to bed. lol. He's gonna be exhausted! He hasn't slept more than a few hours each night this week so I think he's just going to want to keep it mellow.

We will be flying back together through JFK so I am not sure if I want us to spend the night in NYC or come straight home to Philly.

A couple of weeks after we get back will be Labor Day weekend and we are going to.....IOWA <_< to have a BBQ with some of my friends and family.

My dad and brother went with me to pick Wadi up at the airport and we went out for sushi and then just went home and crashed. The next day was a bit of sightseeing and then a little get-together at my mom's to give Wadi a chance to meet my grandparents and aunts/uncles/cousins. We had a formal wedding reception about 4 months after he arrived and that was when he got to meet all of the extended family. He was such a trouper!

Travel day is always so brutal. We came in on a Thursday afternoon. We took the long way home so he could eye the city and then we just went home and chilled. Friday I had to work. Saturday we went to 6 flags.....his first time on roller coasters. Sunday we went to the Zoo. No party till our wedding day.

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

We spent our first day waiting for the cable guy to come to our new apartment. :)

Then we went out for Indian food and to Target. Rey now loves both of those things. Hee hee.
