RFE notice---A BIG let down

Who says you omitted anything. I did not send in the birth certificate because it is not required, yet they decided to ask for it.

They claimed my airline ticket stub did not have the year on it so that and my passport entry/exit stamps do not count and I could not prove I was there in last two years- guess what it had day month and year and I have the copy to prove it.

They wanted a more detailed account of how we meet???

So my spin is you could have done it perfectly and They screwed up or as in the case of the birth cert want something that is not required- I remember debating 30min as to input it or not but left it out not wanting to supply more then was asked for

So do not blame youself it easly could be 100% their mistake

My senators office says they can and do ask for any document they want; required or not

We got an RFE too. I got the email on a Saturday April 22nd and the notice in the mail on Thursday April 27th. While I was waiting I was stressing over what they wanted, because they didn't say what it was in the email just that they sent the notice. I think they love to torture us, ha! Anyway, I started collecting all sorts of stuff like my phone bills, emails, pictures, bank statements, flight schedules, Christmas cards from the family, drawings from his nieces, etc. By the time the RFE came in, it was for none of that. So now I have a huge envelope of stuff, but hey you never know. It may come in handy later. Well the RFE was for my fiance's divorce papers. WHat we sent in was the request for divorce and not the final decree. So, he got that from the lawyer and is dropping off today to get the English Translations.

Also, they gave us a large time window to get these papers submitted, we have until July 17th.

Hey Joe,

Sorry to hear you got an RFE. Touches don't always mean NOA2 unfortunately, but like you said, at least it's being processed now. Hope you can get it taken care of as soon as possible and get that NOA2.

bummer, just do what they want, give them what they need and hopefully they will be as quick to process it as they were to send the RFE out. Could be worse. Keep the faith.
