When I win the lottery I plan on having them lasered off my skin (hmmm well). Will this be an eyebrow raiser for the medical concerned (I mean with an exe's name)? I heard they screen your blood differently as opposed to one who has no tattoos on their body. I wish I never had any tattoos on my bod :crying: I have his name planted in two places and I wish I could just scrub them off with sand paper :(

OK what does this have to do with K-1 visa process?

This is better off in Off topic, or perhaps Regional discussion board.

Why would a tattoo be an eyebrow raiser? Sure they make think it's an ugly tattoo, but do you really think they can discriminate against you because you have a tattoo of your ex's name?

Dunno just thought I'd ask if anyone has had an experience with their tattooed bodies when taking a medical. My doc commented on them once saying he couldn't stand the things and that stuck in my head.. whatever! I know they can't discriminate me for my past.. thanks for your comment. Dont' worry about it (:

I had 2 tattoos when I went for my medical, they didn't ask any additional question about it or ran any other additional test (not that I know of).

I have 7 tattoos and the Doctor made no mention of any of them when I had my Physical. I have no idea if he even wrote that I have tattoos down.

I would not worry about it at all- as long as the Doctor is getting his wad of cash, I don't think he cares about who your ex boyfriend is.

Oh my gosh, this is hilarious!

Don't worry. The doctor doing your medical could care less that you had a huge crush on Brad Pitt and just couldn't keep his name off your body.

It's all good. :P

I have 4 tattoos and the medical is the same for everybody. Having a different blood work just because you have a tattoo is insane.

If your SO doesn't have a problem with it, I don't see why it would be none of anybody's business to say a word about your tattoos.

PS: If you don't have money to laser remove them, you can always tattoo something to cover it ;)

Talking about laser removal...I had like four laser treatments and in the end they told me that they wouldn't be able to remove it completely because the tattoo contains blue color which had been mixed with white by the tattoo "artist". Now I have this washed-out light blue spot on my upper arm and it looks just stupid. Getting a tattoo at the age of 16 is just a crazy thing to do.... :bonk:

I have no idea if it works or not. Here is a thread on another message board about it (strong language warning):

For what it's worth I think your question is a very good one. Hopefully it was answered.

I hope it's not a problem - my fiance has several tattoos too...including my name on his shoulder

I'm sure it will be fine! Besides, it's not really the doctor's business to ask whose name it is.
