If you want to use the actual DS-3032 form your spouse needs to fill it out, print it and send it to you. You can then generate the barcode and paste it on top or just write the case number on the box where the barcode should go.

But if you want, your spouse can send them the e-mail and choose whoever she wants as the choice of agent. It doesn't have to be you or her, it can be anybody she chooses.

Yes we did. We waited for the automated system to say that the DS-3032 had been generated, then my husband sent them the e-mail (based on the sample given in the shortcuts) and within a week they had accepted it.

The reason we did it was because having my husband print, fill out and sign the actual DS-3032 to then mail it to me would've taken longer and it would've been more expensive for us.

We used the email option also,

Please ensure that you include the name, DOB, address of both parties, also my SO cc the email to me.

The auto response was almost immediate and the acceptance was about two weeks.

Please note however that not everyone has gotten an auto response

Good Luck, and try it, it saved me about 4 weeks.

My husband does not have access to a computer so can I email it from here or open an email account using his information and email it from up here...is that safe??...if mailing the DS3032 is it really ok not to use the barcode and just write it in...when i generated my barcode it looks so small...it does not fill up the whole box...is that right?

i opened account in my wife's name, sent e-mail everything was fine

they are not FBI , they are not going to check your computer's IP address etc

just send it but read recent posts about e-mailing

they might change the message in auto response(it is different now then a week ago)

you don't need bar code for e-mail

regarding the bar code for future use

read instructions

they gonna show you how to make the bar code to the right size

Jgay, i dont think any of those domains matter for the email because internationally people could use totally different domains. If you want to open an email for your husband that is fine. Or if you already have the DS3032 signed by him, then, send that in when the DS is generated. Not that much time is saved with the email if you already have the DS3032. You are mailing the DS3032 yourself right? Cause thats the same as emailing it yourself...neither situations acutally have the DS3032 coming from Jamaica.

As far as barcode, I had same issues with the size. I hear its not that important that the size is the exact same, but that the pixel is clear and scanable. If you have photoshop or Infran View you can size the image of the barcode accordingly and keep the clarity of it. Photoshop works great for me and very simple.

I don't have photoshop or the Infran on my computer...I'm doing everything from my job's computer...Do you think the pixel is clear if I copy and paste to a word document and resize it there and print it on a black and white printer????...

I pasted mine into Paintbrush / Paint which is included in Windows. I cropped out the IDAutomation bit and selected the barcode, copied pasted into MS Word following the shortcut instructions again at that point. Worked with my I-864 fee bill which has already been accepted. Just got word today that my DS-3032 email was accepted as well using the new template on the Wiki. It was sent from a GMail address in the name of the beneficiary.

Hi badspellor, do you mind telling me how you sent the AOS Bill to Saint Louis, by express or regular mail? I sent mine by express on the 31st of March and NVC got it on the 2nd of April. I called NVC today, they still don't have my check. By the way, how do you know they have already accepted your fee bill. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Like badspellor said, you can use Paint in Windows. I used that at first but I noticed it made my barcode smaller and then I had to resize it and thats when the pixel quality went down. I was concerned about that so i used Photoshop, but since Badspellor already tried it and it works you should be fine. I havent got confirmation of my AOS fee being accepted yet but I just sent it this week. Oh and my husband has a hotmail account that he used for his DS3032 and the NVC corresponds back to him at that email just fine.
