I-864 question

I am getting ready to fill out the I-864 and I am wondering about something. Does the consulate go by how much you are currently earning or do they go by your earnings on your taxes? I am wondering about this because I started working 2 jobs back in August because I knew I wasnt earning 125% over the poverty limit by working just one job. I am currently earning enough (and I can show this with my paycheck stubs) but on my taxes it shows I did not earn enough.

Some answered this question for me a couple days ago. Along with your taxes you should put what you are making per annum CURRENTLY and also include a job letter and pay stubs for 6 months

Hello sec7or! It's nice to see another Romanian spouse here! As long as current income is 125% above the poverty line, you should be okay since they are, for the most part, interested in your current income. Of course, be sure to send in check stubs and letters from your employer as proof!

Just send them a copy of your latest check stub and Verification of Employment so they would see that your earning more than the poverty guidelines for this year.

Send at least the last 3 check stubs with the original submission of the I-864. I sent every paycheck stub I had since I started working 2 jobs with the updated I-864 for my hubby's interview.
