hi there i guess most of us who had our interview last april 4 had a problem with document verification...my pre-screener was a guy from window 20....it went good though he asked alot..even related to my profession.....but it was okay.....then after that i waited for like an hour for the final interview my number was called from consul number 27.....i waited like 15 minutes before the got a chance to face him..i was so nervous coz some people took them only 3-5minutes and i was waiting there for my turn and its taking them so long....honestly i was thinking that maybe the girl inside fainted already..i was sondering if shes still alive...hehehehe......after few more minutes its my turn.....and God he was really asking alot...sometimes he will ask you the same questions that he already asked....after i guess 30 questions..he said that my paper looks fine...i asked him 'so sir..what will i tell my fiance after this interview?' then he just replied that they are still waiting for my document verification and asked me if i paid it already and i answered him ' yes, last feb12' he said that my documents will be there anytime soon....he asked me to wait outside coz i have to fill-out some for for visa delivery...but i hand him my letter of request for pick up and he granted it....then when i heard my name called in window 38 they gave me a purple slip saying '1. you will be notified when your immigrant visa is ready for pick-up. 2. please present this card to enter the immigrant visa unit on the day of the pick up. 3 applicant's signiture over printed name and 4 do not finalize travel plans until you receive your visa'

thats what written in the purple slip...i was sorried coz i didnt receive a pink slip...is is because that i asked for visa pick up?

and one more thing the guy in window 38 was so arrogant..i told him that i already pay for my document verification and he just told me so arrogantly ' when did you have your interview?' so i just just today..then he said your document verification will just start today even you paid early because you just had interview today...i was so pissed and wanted to tell him that why did they advised to pay early to avoid delays if they will do the document verification after your interview whether you pay early or not....just prove one thing that they are all inconsistent and dont know the whole process event the work inside.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...i am just getting more and more frustrated...

well my real question is now i dont know if i was approved or not...though they gave me a purple (not pink) slip saying they will notify me when my visa is available....just dont know when.... :(

thanks for reading...

God bless

:)

Dont worry :D ..We are the same when i had my interview last month MARCH 11,,they even gave me purple slip since i also request for pick up visa on that time..

They will call you 3 working days after your interview saying that your visa is ready for pick up..

Present it to the guard so that the guard will allow you to enter the USEM again for your visa pick up..

BTW,Congrats and happy trip soooonn... :D

Hello VJ's! Can anyone give a list of the slip colors given after interview and its corresponding indication? I am into reading of the basics here and still far from the interview since we are just on our way to filing on Friday but these slips are confusing me now. This is a common question here so I know it will help a lot.

Best wishes to all!

Hi, It's been a week since your April 4 interview. So, did you get your visa already? I was also given a white slip of paper with a handwritten documents verification on April 4, btw. . .

I'm sorry but we had our interview March 17th and our experience in Guyana was pretty much the same - I don't think they were mean but they were way too personal. At least your interviewers didn't ask you anything too personal. Plus we didn't get a purple anything no timeline no nothing - we're just waiting like dangling puppets!!!!!

Keep your head up - keep busy - and don't think about it too much - everything is in the hands of God for us now - right?
