AP Question

As far as AP goes, it is most important that my wife (the beneficiary) is able travel at the beginning of June. Does she actually need to be here for receipt of the AP if I will be?

What I mean is, for example:

She leaves June 1st to Portugal

AP comes June 10th

I leave June 15th with AP and give it to her in Portugal

Can she come back with it without abandoning her application or does she actually need to be in the US when it issues?

She cannot leave the country prior to the issue date on the AP.
