ok, so we filed late feb and just got an RFE. We sent in the W2 and pay stubs from the year ending dec 2007 when we filed, but not the 1040. (we didnt get that one till after the tax refund ofcourse) so we recieved the refund and its documents, only it says 1040A is that the same thing? its all there is.

also, once sorted out, should i re-sent everything (W2's and paystubbs again?) or just the RFE letter with the 1040A?

thanks!

Same happened to us... they asked to send 1040 from 2007!!! we are going to send what they asked only

- 1040 for 2007

- pay stubs and emplyment verification letter

- RFE letter

We asked USCIS customer service and they told us to send only what we have been asked in RFE letter. So I suggest same for you :)

1040A is the shorter version of 1040 - and the 1040EZ is the shortest version. Different forms are used based on different situations - but you can always use the 1040 even if you don't have to - it doesn't work the other way. Send them the copy of 1040A. You are ok. Good Luck
