Saw the last period of the caps game!! Was hoping my friend would phone up and offer me another ticket, no luck,lol

:lol: I am on some sort of Caps emailing list and as of 9am this morning there were tickets still available. But I wasn't willing to pay $85 per person to see the game. Watched it on tv though and it was a good game. Dunno that they can beat the Flyers at home in game 6 but am keeping all appendages crossed. And hoping that Ovechkin finally starts playing they way he can.

Oops, Montreal just scored. Derek is not amused.

Price is on again. 2-1 Habs. Bruins just scored 2-2, Garden is going crazy. Looked offside to me but the Bruins have been forechecking like the Bruins always do. KJ, if the Caps don't beat the Flyers (honestly who outside of Philly likes the Flyers?) you can start cheering for the Jets, I hear Namath will be in mini-camp this year. :lol:

Bruins just scored to tie it, woot.

The Caps are young and I was thrilled that they even made it to the playoffs despite it all. Just wish Ovechkin was playing better. And while I like Huet, I miss my Ollie the Goalie. :crying:

I was there the last time the Caps went to the Stanley Cup. They lost of course, but it was so cool to see the Cup relatively up close and personal no matter who won!

good back and forth game Mtl vs Boston!! Boston now up 1 with less than 2 min to go

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Was an exciting game!! I might just have to splurge for game 7 if the caps win tomorrow night in Philly!! But it appears my AC unit may have stopped,duh, so may be better to save the $$$,lol

Received NOA2 approval email........May 1st 2008

NVC

May 6th 2008 : NVC received & case# generated

May 15th 2008 : NVC generated & mailed DS 3032 & AOS Fee Bill

May 28th 2008 : DS 3032 Sent (E-mailed / Auto Response)

June 4th 2008 : AOS shows PAID on website, THEN REJECTED twice

June 11th 2008 : AOS bill finally accepted. Shows PAID on website.

June 25th 2008 : Paid $400.00 IV Bill

June 26th 2008 : IV Bill shows PAID on website.

June 30th 2008 : Mailed DS-230 package to NVC.

July 11th 2008 : Called NVC. Automated message stated CASE COMPLETE!

August 8th 2008: Called NVC and spoke with operator. She stated Sept 29th at 9am is when the interview is scheduled for.

Sept 29th 2008: Wife had interview. Medical exam was about to expire before our flight so we had to get another one. Mailed it in to the embassy and got wife's visa a few days later in the mail.

Oct. 20th 2008: Wife, daughter and myself arrive back in America. POE took a whole 10 or 15 minutes.

Oct. 21st - forever: Happy to be with my wife and baby girl.

Good luck everyone!!! Stay strong and don't give up!
