Melinda, I hope that you find out what is really going on soon and get that interview rescheduled. It sounds a little strange to me but you know we are talking about the good old Embassy in Cairo so nothing makes since. Good luck to you and Tarek!

Cheryl, wow, what a wonderful feeling this must be for you. I bet you are so ready to sit back and relax with your hubby. Both of you can finally breathe once he is here in your arms.

Kelly, maybe all of this sickness is a sign that your body is actually trying to go into labor. I hope for your sake it is. It is sad once you have the baby and you don't feel those little kicks or hiccups anymore but you have him in your arms and that makes you now why life means so much. Talk about being prepared...my son is 5.5 weeks old and still doesn't have a crib. Thank God for bassinets!

To everybody else, Happy Monday!! I hope this week we get some visas in hand! Best wishes everybody!

Hello Melinda, everything will be fine! This is NOT AP, this is a stupid unorganization that happened, as soon as they see the darn thing is REALLY done correctly by you and Tarek, it will be all right Insha-Allah. Will be fine. Do the three things in ur battleplan and we got ur back too. I can imagine how Tarek felt.

They LOVE bumps in the road, its their thing.

This is my run down of the past THREE times my husband has already been to the embassy, each night, a bit more traumatizing, each phone call at 4am, only brought tears to my eyes then immediate hatred for myself of feeling bad and then immediate peace that God knows the plan perfectly.

1st time, embassy says everything is good, no probelms with paperwork/reciepts/etc but 221g AP.

2nd time, 4 months later called to ask for passport! (now that was a good thing!) Got hopes up...a bit at least...says we need further review so go away.

3rd time, 3 months later (pretty positive this means visa since they had the passport n all) He was so excited, got in there to be told that AP was not doen, got 2nd stamp "additional processing" on same 221g sheet. Returned passort as well when he asked for marriage certificate.

Now I sit, everything returned, no word from DOS, called DOS, says checks need to be redone...ok.

Every one of those nights I stayed up from that whole day, till 6am then went to "life calls" work. Unable to think or feel anything for a good while. He was distraught but tried to stay calm for me, I did the same: in the end both became peaceful at the thought of God and the right timing. Every time 1am hit, it was exciting, 1:30, almost in tears for hope, 2am, any time now! 3 am...why isnt he calling...4am...oh no...5 am..dose off wishing not to...6am...he calls to deliver the news but didnt want to take me up early to say he got another 221g stamp.

Don't worry we go through this kinda stuff all the time. Our bumps are a bit different, but we learn from each of them. I am so happy to have learned so much.

This will be straightened out quick! They will issue the 2nd interview I am thinking pretty quickly as everything else is set with you. Please give him our prayers so that he may feel a but peaceful at this time, we are so sensetive about these things and we have reason to be. But if we keep a clear mind, things get done faster, God is pleased with us and this leads to good results and happiness.

My prayers are with you

Ya I got that too bridget, MENA doesnt do the whole crib thing, its like distancing children to them, but ya know its safer n all that good stuff. Maybe get the bundle of joy back in bed after the "accidentally smush it" stage goes away. I always fear hurting my baby, I am a sound sleeper and so is he. (((yes Nagi I dont sleep anymore lately lol but usually i am a very good sleeper!)))I guess the crib is good for the 1st couple of months, then they'll wanna sleep with mommy and daddy anyway. Aww. 4 days!?!?!? Ahhhh! This is so exciting!

Feeling like pure hell today. When I left the party last night, I wasn't feeling too well. Went straight to bed and didn't wake up till 630. I have been having severe cramping all day and the pain keeps causing the sweats. So this day hasn't been much fun at all. Doc told me to triple up on the birth control pills to try to get me to the ultrasound 2morrow. He said that more than likely he's gonna have to do a D&C but wants to get a good look inside first. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of being tired and hurting.

I hope u all have a super fantastic day! 4 more hours and I get to go home..woohoo!

About babies in beds. My oldest slept in our bed pretty much from birth until not too long ago. My ex and I were always concious about where he was in the bed. If we felt him slipping down under the blankets we'd grab his little diapered butt and push him back up. :) My youngest slept in his crib until he was about 13 months old. He decided to escape one morning and fell out. He refused to stay in his toddler bed so he joined us in our bed. It got to the point where I would sleep in one bed with my youngest and my ex would sleep in another with my oldest. This will sound nuts but they didn't get out of my bed until just before my husband arrived last year. They were 9 and 10.

When and if we do have a child together, my husband and I do plan on having a crib and trying to stick to it.

yeah, i don't know how i would have managed night-time nursing without co-sleeping. i slept differently, almost like not fully losing consciousness when ollie would be in bed with me, but still managed to be fairly rested. he wanted his own bed when he turned 2 though. every couple months or so he'll have a night where he wants someone in his bed until he falls asleep, but every other night his stuffed polar bear or webkinz dog are enough company for him :)

if it's safe and comfortable and happy for your family, who cares if other people think yr nuts.

My son slept in bed with me and my ex till I got pregnant with my daughter (he was 5 then). Once my daughter was born he decided he wanted to sleep in his own room and my daughter started sleeping with me! My daughter is 7 and still frequently will crawl in bed with me!
