Actually I worked for Qantas so I probably traveled more than you..

Qantas flies to only 3 mainland US cities: LA, SF and NYC.

Clearly, you haven't traveled that much.

AND we already know he hasn't been to LA OR NYC. Maybe SF? That's a pretty clean and beautiful city, so I'm guessing he didn't go there either. :)

What I wonder is why so many with left wing views are against change. They cannot even run a power line in our area because the liberal morons are against it. For people who pride themselves in change you always seem to be against it. Unless I start talking about something stupid like equal marriage rights for oppressed gay poodles.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Safe and run by Democrats, no less.

Detroit's problems run a lot deeper than the fact that it's mayor has always been a corrupt Democrat, not that I would expect Boo-Yah to have any deep and meaningful understanding of those issues other than comparing Detroit to Sydney and Melbourne. I'm sure if the residents of Detroit had their incomes taxed at the same rate as Australian cities there would be more revenues to deal with the problems

And surely if the Democrats are so terrible in running these cities the Republicans have an opportunity to field a candidate who can win. I'm sure Boo-Yah ahs some interesting ideas why they can not.

More excuses. If history isn't to blame then it is always something else. violin.gif

Interesting as they don't seem to have won any international awards lately.

gay poodles - that's the best Wild Tangent in quite some time!

 Bravo with the first wild tangent statement.

Um...what?

BY I think it's adorable how you try to make arguments about places you've never been, and you are completely open about the fact that you've never been to them.

How many awards have liberal US cities won overseas in terms of being livable cities or for their quality of life etc??

Edit: How do you know I have not been there? so why would you say that..

I don't know if this is an Australian pastime or something, but we don't really pay attention to "awards" cities win over here.

Anyway, it would be hard for one of America's largest cities to be on a list of "safest" cities (and you'll see there aren't many large cities on lists like that) but quality of life in San Francisco is pretty high. You'd know if you visited. You're really depriving yourself of a great city!

In comparison to what. There are a lot of cities that are run-down and ####### here. If people want to change that they can. If they do not, then don't. But don't go around pretending they are nice and then questioning whether other cities are better. Other cities abroad which pride themselves on the aesthetic of their city.
