Who cares what you believe. If I did I would have proved these things to you a long time ago..

I don't much care either, to be honest. But then I don't go around trumpeting my qualifications to all and sundry - all the while making statements illustrating my lack of specific knowledge.

Like the one about all the wealth in a city being evenly distributed - because why else would the top 10 poorest and top 10 most crime ridden cities not match up 100%

I like that approach you use every time. One of you brings education up then it turns out I am the one "trumpeting my qualifications".

I'll leave you to your assumptions..

You clearly need to work on your concept of cause and effect. This idea that you have an MA in Economics / background in Engineering & Economics totally did not arise out of countless boastful postings to that effect - or from your aggressive demands to know others educational backgrounds. Totally not. Nope - Didn't happen

Just like the idea that all mention of Australia in any and every thread you participate in is brought up by others and not you

Is that the only thing you have to say. I know nothing about your background. Yet even if I did, I would have more to say than throw in cheap shots about it in every other post.

There are a lot of run down cities here. That is fact. The people who are running a number of these cities are democrats. That is fact. Focus on the issue for once otherwise run along now chap.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

So, is what you are saying now is that you deliberately make yourself look stupid because you can't be bothered to reveal the 'intelligent real you' on this message board?

Ok, got it.

Why because I don't respond to BS posts. Is that not a given?

You cannot ridicule someone and then expect them to answer let alone take anything you say seriously.

That's not a 'why/because' question, that's 'So you/yes or no' question. It now begs the further question, if what I just said was BS, why did you respond to it, why did you respond to anything 'seriously' if everything I have posted is BS and worse some 'plot' to ridicule you? You may read the latest question as rhetorical, if you so wish.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I was perfectly happy with the discussion before you accused me of "making excuses".

As for your two facts, as I said posts ago, to make some cause/effect theory you have to provide more evidence than City A, run by Dems at this point in time looks really cruddy so it's the fault of Dems. City B, run by Reps at this point in time looks fabulous and that's directly connected to something the Reps did.

I know you don't want to provide proof and that's fine, but don't expect that by simply stating two facts you can claim some irrefutable logic and it to hold much water with anyone except yourself.

Indeed - the core of the issue would involve discussing (at least) specific policy initiatives in several different cities, but that would of course necessitate a longer view and a more detailed analysis than we know BY is capable of.

As we know:

Assumption + Innuendo + anecdotal evidence of self or others / I don't have to prove what I'm saying = objective global truth

As for the original premise that Barack can't run Chicago, therefore he can't run the US, that's simply bullshite. I am not a Barackite and yet the cause/effect is simply not there. He's not a governor nor the city Mayor, he was a state legislator and all one can conclude is what measures he voted on that would have had a positive and negative effect on Chicago. As I don't see any evidence either way, I can make no absolute detemination but I can say that to expect one state legislator to 'clean up' a city is somewhat fanciful.

What does lack of actual opinion apart from rebutting others equal? probably smart in your book. As crazy as PH's views may be, at least she has an opinion..

#6 I thought you where smarter than to copy Fancy+pants, Alex+r, Jenn & Vj troll. Coincidentally enough all liberal Americans.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Trust me, I don't think No. 6 or anyone else is going to find your opinion of their intelligence very important.

At least I have got an opinion. You should try it sometime.

Ran-dommmm.... I have an opinion on almost everything, as anyone here can tell you. Of course, if it's something I don't know anything about, I usually refrain from forming one. You should try it some time.

I talk about things I have an interest in and/or know something about. So when it comes to the aesthetics and livability of a city I have first hand experience of the best.

Whereas you seem to chuck a brat like fit when somebody says something that you do not agree with.

Come on now... Boo-Yah! is entitled to have his opinions, eccentric though they may be. Its just a shame that he assumes that everyone else is entitled to those same opinions ;)

What Makes Obama Run?

Lawyer, teacher, philanthropist, and author Barack Obama doesn't need another career. But he's entering politics to get back to his true passion--community organization.

I certainly don't form opinions for the approval of others. Hence why I am not a politician.
