It used to be we would send messages back and forth all night, but now that I have changed my hours, I go home and log onto chat until I go to bed. Riza doesn't have a webcam at her work, so I have to make do with the pictures I have, but she can see me. On Friday nights, which is Saturday there, I call her. Sometimes I call her at other times. We both miss each other terribly, but we know that God will see us through this time, and it will be a good experience to grow our relationship in the physical absence of each other. We figure that God has laid these tests before us, and that each one brings us closer together.

Spring is here and my son and I are usually at the lake boating and fishing when I'm not working hehehehe.. Zach and I love the water so much that I have 2 boats one for the lake and one for the river ;) I am so thankful that Zandy will be here within a month God willing.. Because last April when Zandy and I met, my pontoon just sat in the slip at the lake all spring and summer .. It was really weird to be home sitting in front of the PC chatting when the weather was 90 degrees and the fish were biting.. But, it was all worth it.. I fell in love with a girl that wants to share doing these things my son and I enjoy doing. Actually, Zandy can't wait to get here and go out boating and fishing with us.. boatch2.jpg1_796798710l.jpg

Living on the east coast, leejoy and I are 12 hours apart. She works in a Sports Bar in the Fesitval mall, so if you are ever in the neighborhood stop by and say hi to her. That keeps her busy, plus she has 3 other room mates and lots of neighbors from her home town, plus just lots of friends in general). Keeps her thumb busy texting everyone all the time.

I am in the military so that job keeps me busy. She typically works at night and gets off around midnight to 2am. I don't usually get out of work until around 530pm. I am very fortunate to be in a position to buy her a computer and pay for her internet connection. So we can get online with each other anytime we want. That $25 dollar phone card that only allows us to talk for a few hours pays for her internet for the month. The iChat program on the Apple computers is amazing. The video stream is sooooo much better than Yahoo/MSN/or Skype. Plus I can send files directly to her computer. The other good thing about the iChat program is that I can assume control of her compter. So if I have to show her something on a form or map or on the computer itself, I can rather than try and explain it.

We are online almost everyday for hours, usually from 7pm east coast time in the US, until 11pm or midnight. Plus she can use her email at her work, so we send each other emails while we are at work.

As much as it sounds like a cliche, try not to think about the process and it will go much faster. I can't believe it has already been a month since I mailed off all the initial paperwork.

Good luck to all.
