My husband and I have been reading this forum for a while. I'm from Morocco., i'm biracial. came to the U.S on an F-1 Visa... My husband instead is an african american from Tampa.... We got married about 2 months ago. i'm 21, he's 28. :D

This adjustment of status is going very very slow lol....

anyone else from tampa? anyone with same situation?

Well no advice but wanted to welcome you to VJ.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Welcome to VJ! At least, you are in USA with your husband. Hope your process goes quicker.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

June 19th 2007 - USCIS received date

June 22nd 2007 - NOA1 received

November 16th 2007 - NOA2 - 156 days from filing

November 24th 2007 - Hard copy of NOA2 received

December 15th 2007 - Packet 3 received

January 18th 2008 - Packet 3 returned

February 13th 2008 - Packet 4 received

March 4th 2008 - Medical @ 1.00pm

March 5th 2008 - INTERVIEW @ 10.00am - APPROVED!!

March 11th 2008 - Visa received!

April 30th 2008 - Flying home at last!!!!! (POE: Dulles - Washington DC)

July 12th 2008 - Wedding date!

Now for AOS!

Hello and welcome to VJ, we live in Tampa as well. Not sure what you are asking about anyone in the same situation. But we applied for K1 visa, my husband has been here since August, things are great. We were married in Sept, he is working and getting ready to start school. My husband and I are the same age. Where about in Tampa do you stay? I've lived in Tampa, almost 4 years, in August will be the 4th year. Well, I hope you are liking Tampa.

M adjusted from a B-2 visa he had overstayed 4 years on. His AOS was approved in 7 weeks last year :D Can't say I like the area, since the economy is so bad right now....
