..... when you order water in a restaurant you never know what you'll end up with!

I think I remember you mentioning this before!!

"WHEN THE WEATHERMAN SAYS WE ARE GOING TO HAVE LIGHT SNOW, BUT THAT TURNS OUT TO BE 14 INCHES"

God Help the UK if they ever got Snow like we get here..... the whole country would grind to a halt.....

Lol it already grindes to a halt with 1 inch of snow or wrong kind of snow lol .

I was going to say the exact same thing - we don't often get "extremes" so pretty much anything that comes out of the blue totally screws us up

Ok, American guy here!

I don't get the soccer (football), When I was in school I played it all the time and I loved it. But to watch it being played is like watching paint dry. No one ever scores points!

I've never understood what's so exciting about American "football". Takes like an hour to get from one end of the field to the other!! :P I went and saw the Denver Broncos, never been so bored in all my life.

My mum watched a match and said much the same thing - they keep stopping and a game that is made up of four quarters lasted like three hours!!!

Roundabouts. Where in the states do you get them, if any. I didnt see one roundabout in Louisiana. They would save money on traffic lights at least.

You get them in the northeast - MA especially. They are called rotaries.

There's actually one near where I live in LA - no one knows how to use it though - they just accelerate and hope for the best.

:rofl::lol: I think Oregon has a couple...

Hehe, there's a few roundabouts in Iowa. I love how they're plastered with signposts to tell you exactly what to do, but folk still don't quite get it ><

Everyone should get sent to Milton Keynes for roundabout training.

Yeah - Bradley Stoke near where I live is pretty bad for roundabouts but nowhere near as bad as Milton Keynes

There are roundabouts in Oregon - much to my horror. I still haven't decided if you give way to traffic from the left or right - or if it's like a 4 way stop or ... I just go if no one else is coming either way ... cue beeping of many horns.

i-710 Process

02/23/2011 - Mailed off i-751 to California

02/25/2011 - NOA1

Stu

I had my roundabout training at Five Ways in Birmingham. Actually it was more of a reenactment of that scene in National Lampoons European Vacation only with less exciting landmarks

He he this is a funny thread id love to see the yanks try the magic roundabout in swindon five mini rounabouts surrounding one central roundabout.
