Hi folks,

Well me and my dad were making plans of going to a few Eastern European (through that Schengen visa) countries and then to Bangladesh this summer. Well I really wish to go with him, can keep in touch with my husband through my lappy, so that won't be a problem, but I'm wondering will this in anyway might effect i-130 process? May be further AP or asking me to show police certificate from these countries during my interview at the last stage, I don't know really, just want to go for a 40 days trip.

Thanks for any help

I don't really know the answer as to whether or not it will affect your process, but I did want to let you know that they asked Ritesh at our interview about any countries he had traveled to (only the UK for work a few years ago), and even probed about our honeymoon location (Goa, so it wasn't an issue!).

That he had been to the UK for work was not an issue at all, but since it was some time ago, and for work, that may have been why... You wouldn't need police certs for any other countries unless you were there for 6 months plus, so that is not a worry.

Maybe it would be good to e-mail the Chennai IV Unit and give them the details of why you are traveling, and ask their opinion?

I hope you don't miss out on an opportunity to travel!! :)

Yes, do think emailing Chennai will be a better idea, they do give quick respond, so thats a good thing about them.

Thanks again Carolyn, and thanks for the detailed interview analysis you gave of your DCF :)
