Hello everyone, after finding out that I have made my first blunder by mailing in 1X1/2 X 2" photos instead of 2X2" photos for the g325-a forms, can I just do a scan off my printer and print them out to the required size so I can send these in right away. Otherwise my wife and my step child will have to go to a local photo shop and have them redone and send them to me. Too much time.

They were done in a local photo shop over in the philippines when I got married back in November and are supposed to be passport quality. I asked the guy before he printed these if these were sufficient for passport quality photos and he said yes. Obviously he didn't know what he was doing. Would this be sufficient for the USCIS to accept?

thanks,

martinbr

USCIS doesn't seem to worry about the size of photos submitted with the initial filing but the Consulates can be pretty sticky. Either scanning and printing the right size or submitting the smaller ones will do from what I've seen.

In my case, USCIS certainly is picky about size. I got an RFE last week b/c our photos were a half inch off. I just went to a professional photographer to have my husband's picture resized, and took another one of myself. But apparently this is something you can do yourself. Just make sure you get the measurements right. The head should be between 25-35mm, and the eyes to the bottom of the photo should be 28-35 mm. Hopefully, you won't get called on this, but be prepared just in case.

I sent mine in a couple days ago. Will keep updated on how long it takes...

Thats' a good idea about taking them to a photographer. I think that's what I will do and play it on the safe side and send them in. I did call USCIS and they said yes they have to be 2X2", so I don't want any hangups because of this.

But also thanks to everyone else's input. At least I know I am not the only one who has done this.
