Filed I130 Aug 16 & followed with I129F on Sep 28.

NOA2 for both I130 and I129F on Mar 13 & USCIS claimed both were going to NVC.

NVC received I129F on Apr 3 & has not yet received the I130. The I129F has not yet been forwarded to Consulate - expecting Monday/Tuesday.

Best of luck to you, Elbereth, have been going through the process step by step with you until now... It's such a relief to be out of USCIS. Hope you get there soon. I'm sure that's not much consolation to you.

Hi El,

Check out my signature data for details.

It would be nice if we could be just trading notes about the packet 3 & 4 requirements, instead of you haveing to wonder what is going on with your case. If you know any other Brazil couples in the same phase please link me to them. I want to know more about how the Cosulate in Rio handles their bisuness and what they are expecting.

I really hope you get approved soon.

Our I-130 was received by USCIS on 8/29/07, and I-129F on 12/31/07. Both petitions were approved on 03/07/08, with I-129F sent to NVC and I-130 to NRC.

Looks like your approval is long overdue, so should be any day now. The good news is I-129F appears to move very quickly through NVC; approval to consulate took less than 20 days for us. I hope you get your approval very soon and a quick interview date at consulate to make up for some time.

Hi El-

Yes we made it and since we were at Vermont it only takes a few days to get to Visa Service Center vs CSC which takes foreverrrrr---- our I-130 hit there so we are going that route which was our first choice - the I129f was a backup and is still being molested at VSC. But since case number assigned, the I130 is in effect and they are not taking that much longer than the I-129f. Max eight weeks longer as per lawyer and some blogs.

Will watch the progress of the people from July, August and forth to see how it goes, and GOD SPEED as always -

Does anyone know what will happen to a K3 and I-130 that are both at NVC, we cannot seem to get a straight answer like which one will be held back (but both are at NVC) and do we get pushed into the K3 and then I-130 follows, does not make sense for them to process both. Is there anyway we can stop the K3?
