Hi there!

US Embassy received my petition from NVC on March 3rd and I called a week after and thats what exactly they told me. I called again on March 19th and the employee told me I can have my interview appointment on her given dates. Maybe they just got your petition from NVC...give it 2-3 weeks and call again. I think they will make a review on our petition before they will give a qualifying date.

The new procedure for getting appointment dates was only in place March 19, so everybody whose petition reached the embassy last week of february and the few days before March 19 have been receiving that kind of response or were directly told to just call the visa service center by march 18.. then 19...

After march 19, it was easier to call and get interview appointment, no need to wait 2-3weeks. You can already call and get an appointment date a day or two (safest is 2 days after) after USEM receives your approved petition from NVC. Just make sure that your papers have indeed been forwarded to USEM by NVC. You can do that by calling NVC and asking them when did or when will they forward your papers to USEM, get the exact date and then from that exact date of shipment count 3-5 working days for it to arrive @ USEM and then count another 1 or 2 days for USEM to encode your data into the system. To be safe, give it 1 week from the exact date NVC ships your papers before trying to call USEM.

Best of luck to and God speed. (F)
