Hello everybody, i had my interview last April 4, and i got the 221 paper. The consul did tell me to submit additional documents from my fiance his two (2) divorce papers from his ex's, i only had the latest one. He got married 3 times though. But they let me pay the visa delivery. If i can submit the documents they needed, will it guarantee that i can have my visa soon? :help:

Anyone here that encountered problem like this? Just want to know the outcome...

Thanks again...

Sorry that you got 221g, it happens. The sooner you submit the needed documents, the better. After that, it can take 2-4 weeks (the least) for your visa to be released. Once you have submitted it, keep on calling the USEM to make sure that the right person to handle it have received it and is working on your papers.

Good luck!

Hello,

please do not worry, you have the GOOD 221g, as long as you turn in the additional documents, you will get visa upon giving them the documents!

I feel the pain of getting the 221g, except my husband got the one with name checks. its been many months but there is light at the end of the tunnel. You will be fine!

Your fiance should have given you ALL the papers you needed. How foolish of him.

Get the papers from him and get them into the Embassy right away. The sooner they have the papers, the sooner you can get your visa.

Hi,

I have a question. Which blue slip 221g is the good one and which one is the bad one? How do you tell the difference between the two? I know the 221g can take your case back to America after a while. If they tell you that they just need a couple of documents, is that the good one? Thanks.

There are two versions, one says that you do not qualify for the visa, gives no reasons and it will be returned, the other can give more details as to what else they would like to see returned to them for processing

HI,

WE GOT ONE that does not request any documents. It just says 221g need to do additional processing with no reason. Will this be returned to the US later? Right now it does not say anything about it. Thank you.

This is usually what they do for security checks. They let you know that there are additional procedures. They do not give you a time frame or a reason. It can be very short or very long. It depends on the country, and how common your name is.

I am confused - he has divorce papers for two ex's, but he has been married 3 times? Since you are on a K1, I am assuming you are not the 3rd? Be very careful about that, I don't think USCIS, etc. would appreciate that kind of discrepency on forms...

Good Luck in resolving this quickly!

He was married 3 times and divorced 3 times too. Yes I am on K1 and be the fourth to be. I only had submitted the divorce papers of the 3rd one, and the embassy needs the divorce papers of the 3. So i have to submit the first 2 divorce papers to them.

Hi,

I got the White 221G paper, that requires me to submit additional documents, along with the pink slip that says i have to pay the VISA delivery fee.

Don't know what kind of paper that is considered bad or good.

Ohhh, ok, thanks for clarifying - I thought he was married three times, but only told USCIS that he was married twice! Thanks for clarifying! :) Then it should not be too much longer, just make sure he gets those papers to you fast! :)
