I-129F required document - I-130 Transfer Notice

Hi All,

I was reviewing the checklist for I-129F packet for K-3 visa. One of the documentations required in the packet is:

"Copy of I-130 Transfer Notice (indicating where your underlying I-130 petition was routed to after it was filed at the appropriate Chicago Lockbox). "

I just received NOA1 for I-130 that I had filed earlier. The NOA1 has I-797 as expected. What is the I-130 Transfer Notice? Am I supposed to get something else in the mail also? Do I need to send anything else as a proof of I-130 filed other than copy of NOA1?

The I-797 is what you would make a copy of to send with your I-129F packet. Good luck!!

Hello... I was reading your post and was trying to see if this was answered correctly, I am about to mail off the I-129f and all I have is the NOA1 I-797 letter, I do have also another question, do I mail the I-129f to the chicago lockbox or use the return address from the NOA letter?

The intelligent choice is to NEVER send an I-129F for a spouse unless you're absolutely certain you have special circumstances that warrent doing so. Otherwise you'll be making a big mistake. This is the MOST frequently discussed subject in this forum. Do yourself a favor and read some of the discussion. K3 is virtually obsolete.
