congrats!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Congratulations, Autumn! Boys are wonderful to raise. :luv:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes :) I love you guys here!!!

Okay Krikit (wait, how did I miss the name change again, what are you DOING???? LOL) .... you were right. I wanna go to Vegas with you :)

As for names, we are fairly set on Declan James. Hubby is absolutely set on that, I want to play a little and explore other options (I LOVE names) ... but the reality is, it will probably be that.

I'll admit, I'm curious too. I knew one guy who pronounced it DECK-lunn but mostly used his middle name, Kieran. Knew a bit about St. Patrick's day for some reason.

Declan's a lovely name. Have you seen the British comedy team, Ant and Dec? They're hilarious. When you're ready for Vegas, Autumn, let me know.

I'll admit, I'm curious too. I knew one guy who pronounced it DECK-lunn but mostly used his middle name, Kieran. Knew a bit about St. Patrick's day for some reason.

Yes, pronounced Deck-lunn. My son's name is Kieran!!!! :)

Yup, Deck-lunn :) The only thing with the name is, my mom has started to call the baby "D.J.", which I really really hate. I might have to kill her :)

I love Vegas Krikit .... I think we need to set up a Canadian forum trip to the casinos :)

BTW, I like the name Kieran too (I tend to like either Irish or Slavic names for some reason).

Oh no no no no no. That will never do. But maybe just talk to her, first. You may not have to kill her. :hehe:

Gee, why didn't I think of that? Boy, you sure take all the fun out of it
