I'll be ageist - I think at 72 he's too old for the job. Regardless of qualifications, experience or what have you. 4 years is a long time when you hit that age. Why would anyone want to vote for someone who could very conceivably KAAAHHHKKK! it during his term.

.... for his age.

Gotta love it. That's like when Biden said Obama was so articulate and clean .... for a black man.

I thought he would be old school and have some Bush & co style ideas about the economy but I was impressed. He actually seems to get it. Probably why clowns like Ann Coulter don't like him..

Edited by Boo-Yah!

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Get it? What particularly does he seem to get in regards to the economy?

More silliness.

Kaydee should spend more time worrying about why "his candidate" forgets his position on key issues during press conferences and makes factual gaffes that have to be corrected by his campaign team.

It's important to most- goes to credibility number6.....

Just more pompous diatribe from the forum’s number6, but actually the number1 lefty liberal in this forum……..

You need to manage your own time, number….You peruse these forums far more than I, which speaks volumes about the level of activity you’re engaged in outside these forums!

There’s always this condescending vitriol whenever the liberals in this forum have their role models shown to be either liars, or hypocrites. :bonk:

Very curious behavior indeed.

Yeah - I make a crack about McCain in response to your constant smearing of the Democratic candidates. You respond with a personal smear against my person. Curious behavior indeed.

you do comment on every single (political) post about how you are above it all. Rich, coming from one who chose to move here & cannot vote.

interesting how the most conservative on the forum feel the need to have a signature denouncing Hillary or Obama. Sounds like the person may be insecure about something.

Same goes for liberals with anti-McCain signatures.

Last time I checked this is a forum for immigration with help and advice to those who ask, kinda boring stuff after a while I suppose. I guess that is why some of the most read articles come in the off topic forum.

If indeed I do comment in every post how I am "above it all" - I'm not sure why you care. I just think that Kaydee's statement was rather OTT considering what I wrote.

As to my not being able to vote - that applies to many here and I don't see anywhere how that precludes us from having an opinion, as much as you may not like that.

What the problem? More to the point - what his and yours?

I agree. Let's not get into a American-born citizen has more right to speak freely than a naturalized citizen or permanent resident. If that was the case, half of all VJ members should not even be allowed to be in these forums, including all of our spouses or fiancees...

I don't agree with the age thing - being old doesn't make you feeble minded. If you are in good health there is also no reason why you should suddenly drop off this mortal coil either.

However, McCain doesn't seem to have as good a grasp on his own policies as he should have that is for sure.

As for Hillary being trustworthy - I don't see her as any more untrustworthy than any other politician and she's a hard working woman who has a great grasp of policy too which should count for something but apparently counts for a hill of beans. Stranger and stranger.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

To the contrary, I'm an Obama fan....I think we need presidents like him on occasion; the last one was Jimmy Carter.

It helps you yugun's to gain perspective as to just how bad is, because if you think it's bad now, wait until Obama occupies the WH....

Lemme see, Jimmy's presidency produced 21% inflation, 14% mortgages, 10%+ unemployment, and you think this is a mortgage crisis, you should have lived then.

He was a disaster in terms of Foreign policy, just as I suspect Barack will be.

Oh, I particulary enjoyed the long waits at the gas station to get my 2 gallons of gas.....

Yep, things sure are bad and we need CHANGE!

Back on topic-

Is this woman still credible? Since the "sniper" debacle whenever she reminisces about the past, I roll my eyes and cluck my tongue and think aloud that there she goes again........

You decide-

How bad do you think it is now? Can you honestly say that any of the Democratic or Republican presidents in the last 30 years were worse than the current?

The national debt increased significantly during Reagan's administration, declined under Clinton's (even to the point of creating a budget surplus) and here we are again at a national debt of $9 trillion (it was $5.6 trillion in 2000). Not billion. Yes trillion. Wow.

That's the price of war.....Clinton ignored the islamist threat, was inactive against direct attacks on Americans in Somalia, bombings of embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and of course the USS Cole....

He was asleep at the wheel and proclaimed the "peace dividend" to be the reason to decimate the military of this country.

I suspect that Sandy Berger was stealing, and destroying documents that he stole from the National Archives to protect Clinton's legacy following 911......

Clinton was inept and ignored the lead up to 911.

Clinton reaped the benefit of his ignorance by being able to proclaim he had a surplus when he left office but Bush inherited the debacle that Clinton allowed to come to fruition, 911.

I recall the president receiving an infamous document about the bin Laden threat around the time he took an unprecendented time off to go on vacation and ignoring it. Placing all the blame on Clinton even after Bush was in office for nearly 8 months is a little far-fetched, wouldn't you agree?

Also, Iraq as far as I know was not an islamic radical (not an islamist threat)threat until Al-Qaeda began operating there...
