Yup we mailed them out and 2 weeks later still nothing .. we did all the stuff the signature requirement the receipt notice and have tracking number and paid to insure it and all the USPS website says is that it's been accepted at the post office.. well DUH. we know that..

so i called the US postal service and they say thats normal to not update that site ... so it seems its probably lost along with the check and all .... AM SO PEEVED AT THE USPS .. so now am guessing it's time to gather up more cash and get a new set of papers all ready and find a better service to send it off ... maybe UPS will do a better job of it ..

now to try and collect what the USPS owes us .. paid to insure it but after talking to them seems like collecting will take a long time ... oh well just needing to vent

I am sorry that the postal service has let you down but for future reference it is ALLWAYS best to send Important Documents

(especially when dealiong with USCIS ) via Fedex so that you have a signature and date they were recieved...We sent our files to USCIS using fedex and we didnt have any problems so Good luck in your quest with USCIS ...it's a tough one for some on here :(

I am sure u will get through it :)

Keep your chin up :)

RYCK: I had the same trouble this month when sending to vermont.

The USPS showed it delivered, but did not received anything back. After 2.5 weeks after receipt I called them, and I was still not in the system, and no check clear.

They received my new copy this past Monday, And the bank has had a check for funds on the account. So it appears this time I am not lost.

Hey ryck,

I'm sorry to hear that. What a pain in the a**. It's so annoying how one idiot can delay the entire process for you (postal employee who lost your papers).

But in my opinion, maybe it won't take you an additional two weeks to gather everything. I think it's just on you for how long it will take. Did you have extra copies of the forms in he I-129f with your fiances signature on them? If so, that'd save a LOT of time! Also, why would you need to gather an ADDITIONAL 455.00? If they never received your packet then the 455.00 was never withdrawn and therefore you still have it and don't need to scramble to get an additional 455.00.

GOOD LUCK!!!

FYI - Sometimes the post office delivers mail with delivery confirmation but just forgets to scan them in so it never gets updated. This happened to me once before; I thought a letter had been lost only to find out it had been delivered on time, but without being scanned.

You might want to check (or wait a bit longer) before you go through the trouble of gathering everything up again.

because my fiance who is in the usa .. for some reason or other insisted on a money order for whatever reason .. so will need to get another one or tell her to use a darn check this time ... and yea will take time i need to get photo again i need to refill out the papers with signatures send them to her to fill out .. and that will take time .. it bugs me more them losing it means a delay for us ... the money is one thing but when you send something and pay extra for all this stuff you expect it to get there in a timely fashion 2 weeks is not timely and them not even discussing witrh me about it being insured saying wait longer .... thats more annoying than being away from my fiance

Sometimes it takes over 2 weeks to be entered into the system and cash the check...I'd wait a little longer before sending everything back in again.

Nothing about the USCIS or this process is "timely", that is one thing you'll have to get use to quick.

This is a long and hard process, nothing is for sure or easy about it.

Best of luck.

ryck,

Yea I understand what you are saying. I know the money isn't an issue, I was just not understanding why you would need to get AN ADDITIONAL 455.00 but now I understand. What makes you think they lost it though? Sometimes people don't get an NOA 1 until a month after sending it. Sometimes longer. I would just call the post office everyday and see whats happening. Wait, if you sent it with insurance and all that stuff, didn't you have an option to have the receiver sign for the incoming package?

Actually its been 2 weeks and the I-129F hasnt even made to the vermont center yet ..

it just seems to me 2 weeks is an awful long time to have a package delivered especially within the USA considering we send things internationally to each other and doesnt take that long. So when i called the postal service they had no answer and just say wait longer .. hmm seems weird to me especially if its supposed to be trackable .. maybe i am just worrying too much

ryck,

youre right two weeks is absurd for non international mail. Hmm, how do you know vsc hasnt received it yet? afre you just going off the fact you havent received an NOA 1 yet? And the check hasnt been cashed? You're right if you have more proof of them not receiving it then that's too long, but I think that we're all trying to tell you is that you need to make sure vsc hasnt received it yet. If the post office is jerking you around why dont you go in there and demand a straight answer??? I don't understand this. If my package has taken two weeks to get to it's destination and i paid for tracking, insurance, etc. I'd be flipping out at the post office, demanding to know where the package is and why it's taking so long. I don't understand why you dont know if the package is lost, or if its even been received at the vsc. Did you tell the post office that you wanted the receiver to sign for the package or no?
