I have 2 jobs in the same company. I handle all the intellectualy property in the company (Patents). Basically I work with all the engineers to get their ideas patented with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. LOL, sounds fun huh? I also manage all the admins in the company. Its a good job, great pay, and it gives me the option to work from home when I need to. I have only been here for 6 months and I love it. I have worked alot of ungratifying/underpaying jobs in the past so it feels really good to have one that I love now. :star:

I'm a government contract specialist for a corporate jet manufacturer. You can check out our website at: www.gulfstream.com. I work only with government contracts - our government and any others in the world who chose to buy our aircraft. I monitor the contracts and make sure everything gets billed when it's supposed to and that the money comes in. I do a lot more boring stuff with them too.

I do the delivery paperwork on the aircraft and transfer the title, or deregister it if it is going to a foreign government. I also negotiate proprietary information agreements on all of our programs that need them, and also for our research and development programs. I work very closely with one of our corporate attorneys on these, and he has really opened a lot of doors for me - getting me to do agreements for other departments and mentoring me in general.

I am a part-time student majoring in Political Science and Ecomomics. I have 3 years left. It goes soooo slow when you only take 2 classes a semester. I plan to go to law school in about 4 years.

I have two sons - Michael - 24 - who still lives at home and is a projectionist at a movie theater. He's my philosopher and feels that he should enjoy his life rather than make a lot of money - and Jaxom - 20 - who is going through the "prove I'm an adult" phase. He will someday get back in school and be an engineer I hope, unless he gets into another band and his music career takes off. He's an awesome drummer. He's currently working 2 jobs trying to prove he can get out on his own and not depend on me.

Abdel and I have two solid black cats that I had been feeding outside since about the time I met him, and when he got here we took them inside to be our "children". Their names are Sade and Douzi.

I really enjoyed reading everyone's bios. It makes you all seem more real.

I too would love to see Noura dance...

and Meriem... I can't believe that you have a daughter old enough to work... much less be an office manager... I bet you and your daughter look like SISTERS!!!

Hope ya'll have a great day!

Lynne

PS: I forgot to add... I manage a construction office... also manage a family restaurant in the evenings... full time mom to a 15 year old... and a student of PATIENCE... lol

You are my new BESTEST friend!!! You made my day.

I started having kids at 13.........noooooot! just joking. I was 20.

My oldest daughter 25, she is married with a 2 year old daughter, Olivia. She is expecting a little baby boy in August. They have put her to bed until the baby is born. Her placenta in over her cervix and she is high risk for early delivery. She is a senior at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She has one more semester. She has a 4.0 gpa. For the remainder of this semester her professors told her not to worry about the last two weeks of school. They told her we know you would have passed anyway. My other daughter is 21, She works at the day spa I was talking about. I was very impressed she got the gob. She was interviewed along with people who had college degrees and they were impressed with her and hired her. Now they say they cant run the place without her. She had been in the Army though, doing some type of Clerical and administrative office work so she had some experience. She has a daughter, Annalee, also 2 years old. They were due 3 days apart, but was born 2 weeks apart. The only one left at home is my 13 year old son Kyle.

Thanks for the great compliment. I was having a not so great morning until I read your post. Cant stop smiling now! :D

I was a Registered nurse on a medical helicoptor. Worked in Emergency Services for 10 years. In 2000, I took my son to a museum in our town. They had moved a large log cabin to the grounds of the museum and set it up as a display in the 1970's. They had the inside of the cabin set up as if it would have been in the pioneer days. Anyway as my son and I was walking onto the porch to go in, the boards broke and I fell through the porch. I severly injured my back. I had a terrible surgery where they fused my vertebra and put in metal rods, so there went my nursing job. I can walk, but I am limited in the things I can do. No heavy lifting or strenuous work. I have nerve damage in my right leg that bothers me and pain in my back everyday. I am on disability now. So I am a stay at home mom and grandma (Nanni).

Meriem... honey... you do not look like you are in your 40's... and believe me, 40's ain't bad... hehe... you look like you are in your early 30's... i bet you are soooooooooo proud of your children and grandchildren...

family is so important!

i am so sorry to read about your mishap with the surgery, etc... but, at least you are with your family... and that is a blessing. I am praying that your Hechami will be with you soon...

Lynne
