Hey guys. I had confirmation from the Embassy today -

Interview - March 2nd 2006 @1030am.

Shakysgirl- the long form b.c. is the one with the parents names and his place of birth. Mine is on an 'A4' sized piece of paper, and its typed. My 'copy' of that was handwritten .

I think I need my tax return because I am a CEO and I handle all the payroll taxes and sales tax. I really don't have anyone to verify my employment with.

We also have our birth certs and passports because we will both be there and they are both the certificates we had sent into USCIS.

Had my interview yesterday, and i forgot something......

My gloves! I got there and there were 2 lines, one for the 10am appointments and another one for the 10.30 appointments. Go to the front and ask the woman which one you should be in. After 30 minutes of waiting in the FREEZING cold they let me in (went through the little hut outside the embassy where they scan your stuff and scan you to make sure you are not planning to shoot anyone in case you dont get the visa!) inside it looks like an airport departure lounge. I guess they have fixed the speakers as it was no problem to hear your ticket number announced. Pretty much the same as everyone else at this point - go to the window and hand in your stuff, then sit down and wait to be called to the next window. All they asked for was Police certificate, Birth certificate, Medical and I-134 with bank letter (it wasn't even on headed paper!). He said i will need more stuff when we are actually married.

Then after having a 30 minute sleep on the chairs i was called to WINDOW 13!!! He just asked where and when we met, where she grew up, where she is going to uni and what she is studying. He asked more about where her parents live and what the area is like, but this was only in conversation as he grew up there, so nothing to worry about! Then he scanned my fingerprints and made me swear the oath. Then he said "everything looks good so we're going to go ahead and issue you with the visa today"!! YEEESSSS!!! Then i went to the SMS counter and gave them the slip i filled out whilst waiting. You don't have to have cash, i paid by card.

That was it! Everyone was right - it really isn't anything to worry about. As long as you have all the paperwork mentioned above, you will be absolutely fine. Really easy to say now it's done, but please don't worry too much about it. the 'interview' itself, took less than 5 minutes. 6 months wait for 5 minutes!!! I also can't believe that they have only seen 1 picture of my fiancee and i through the whole process!

And copies of your fiancee's payslips are just fine. You don't even need to submit these with the affadvait, just submit the bank and employment letters. Then on the 1% chance they ask for more income proof those copies of her stubs are golden.

Okay looks like no one else has been doing updates so give me a few minutes and I'm going to try to catch them all...please PM me if in the next one I don't get everyone!

And Lawrence....I know you are CEO but if there is someone else who acts as an officer or HR person in your organization they can give you the authorization you need as well. I'd bring the 2005 tax return anyway, but wait it's only February 2nd, who did theirs already???

FFS I just want our Interview Date!!!!!!!!! I have emailed - Not daily, but weekly, I dont get it!

You know how when your waiting in line and ppl hop to the front of the line and your left with a feeling of well wft what makes you feel you deserve to get to the front of the line before me kind of feeling- and you want to Yell WAIT your TURN... thats how I feel atm, so many ppl getting dates and we are still waiting and waiting. ARG stress- I am truly happy for those that get their dates and totally understand those that have emergencies that require them to receive interview dates right away- Sorry venting dont want to offend anyone I'm just completely and utterly exausted from this whole process- I Hate not knowing when he can expect to interview, and i do realize it will come any day

And I completely empathise and agree. I emailed the embassy and excluded the date i sent them P3. They replied that they HADNT received it and there was a 3-4 week wait. I then emailed the day after with the date i sent P3....the reply I got was my interview date.

not mad at you richi just disapointed in the structure of the system or the lack there of- I understand that it isnt a bad thing that you got your date and congrats to you I'm just a bit of a wreck that we havent gotten ours maybe i need to leave VJ until we get our date- it is to painful to watch the embassy give dates to ppl that sent in packet 3 No offense to you richi ok- again congrats and congrats to all with dates and Congrats those that have been appoved and good luck to those that have upcoming interviews... I'm off till we get our date.....
